Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)

Page history last edited by Paul Ward 15 years ago

On the 9th of March 2009, there was a seminar about Sarbanes-Oxley or just simply called SOX which was held at the auditorium at about 3:00 PM  It was led by Sir Robbie Sia and shared to us a lot of information about SOX. At the start of the discussion, we talked about driving and about seatbelts. The video clip that he showed gave us an idea about what SOX really is about. Sarbanes-Oxley was about assisting and guiding people like us in the corporate world.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is arranged into eleven (11) titles but there are only five (5) which is the most important sections. These are Section 302, Section 401, Section 404, Section 409, and Section 802. To make things short, Sarbanes-Oxley is created to help ensure successful auditing and management. It assists and guides people to follow something that leads to equality and shows morality to other people.
